Ron DeSantis Declares War On Mickey Mouse

Ron DeSantis has finally gotten his war with Disney it seems. A bill has been delivered to his desk as of I think today by the state House and state Senate, who seem to basically crawl across broken glass anytime Ron DeSantis asks them to in Florida, to take away special tax breaks that Disney has enjoyed forever. Now Disney's the largest employer in Florida, 423,000 workers, they provide a huge boost in tourism, let's be honest. Most people are going there either from the meth alligator or, or Disney. I know older folks are going down there, nice sunny and all but Disney's a huge huge provider of tourism and Ron DeSantis has just spit in their eye. Why? Because they came out against his bigoted don't say gay bill which is one of a bevy of bills he's been passing, a 15-week abortion ban, saying that math books have CRT in them, I mean just idiotic stuff that has no basis in truth. He's positioning himself for 2024.

He doesn't care how much he hurts Florida along the way, if he hurts the tourism, Orange, excuse me, Orange County which is where Disney is located, the tax burden on Orange County residents is now estimated to be an extra twenty two hundred to twenty eight hundred dollars per family. That's right. Ron's pissed at Disney for, for standing up to him, and so people are now going to have to pay between two and three thousand dollars extra on their taxes. That's pretty much how Ron DeSantis is trying to win the Republican primary for the future, he's trying to position himself as the next Trump and he doesn't care what he destroys along the way, whether it be Florida, whether it be Republican ideology. Remember Republicans once talked to the free enterprise and the free market. I mean, I know that's a sort of cliche as them talking about balanced budgets and family values and being tough on Russia, but they did, that's one of the ones that sort of has lasted the longest, this supposed pro-business stance of theirs, pro free market and it turned out that was all just [ __ ] all along too.

They're pro-free market as long as businesses are doing what they want them to do. When businesses disagree with their culture war hypocrisies, whether it be attacking women's rights, gay rights, the rights of other minorities, then suddenly you don't have the right to a free market anymore. It is the big government Republican that will come in and tell you what you can say and what you can do and which policies you should and shouldn't support and they will punish you financially if you disagree. So it's worth remembering yet again, Republicans do not believe in the free market, they don't believe in small government, they don't believe in anything but power. Ron DeSantis is the current Republican party. He is the current and probably next Donald Trump. This is your Republican party folks. Don't forget it.
