11:59Now PlayingAnother one of my favourite reenacting moments- the time that a small group of Red Army soldiers, from a fortified hilltop position, fended off eight assaults on their position by the German army. An unknown battle, fought for some strange reason in the wooded hills of Illinois at a place known only as 'Wrights,' it saw the Soviets hold out to the last round and the last man. Eventually, outmanned and outgunned, they were overrun by the Fascists. But who knows, maybe someone will write an overly-triumphalist song about it one day. That should make it alright.
