She avoids talking any political aspirations and instead tells Bob McKeown that her role as First Lady is more to be a soldier for duty and love, modelling an ideal husband wife relationship to her public. Marcos and her husband were exiled in 1986 but after her husband’s death, Marcos was permitted to return. She is now a member of the house of representatives.
