A man working, trying to make a living, gets put in a situation where somebody allegedly tries to take his car.
And that car is not just a car.
For a delivery driver, that car is the job.
Take the car, and you take the income.
Take the income, and you take the thing that lets that man get home to his family, pay his bills, and keep his life moving.
That is the part people love to ignore when they talk about “just comply.”
Comply with what?
Comply and lose your vehicle?
Comply and lose your job?
Comply and hope the person robbing you is in a merciful mood?
That is not a safety plan.
That is a nation of perpetual victims waiting on a response time.
The delivery driver had one more tool than that.
And that is why we are talking about him instead of about him.
This is what the Second Amendment is actually about.
Not hunting.
Not sport.
Not some abstract political debate.
It is about an ordinary person having the ability to say no and make it stick when someone tries to take from them.
Because police can respond.
Police can investigate.
Police can take the report.
But when the worst moment of your workday happens in nine seconds, the first responder is still you.
