Criminals Are Hunting You Before You Even Notice

A group of people were robbed at gunpoint in Center City Philadelphia around 3 a.m.

But the scariest part happened before anyone got out of the car.

According to police, the vehicle had been in the area for roughly three hours before the robbery — driving around, parking, watching, and waiting.

That is hunting.

Everybody who walked down that street and made it home has no idea how close they came, because they never saw the car.

But the car saw them.

This is the part people miss when they think carrying a gun means they’re automatically safe. If three or four guys get the drop on you at 3 a.m. with a long gun already on your chest, that pistol on your hip may be a paperweight.

The gun is a starting point.

Awareness is what buys you time and space.

Watch the cars moving too slow. Get your face out of your phone. Don’t sit in your car at night scrolling. Don’t turn into your neighborhood with someone behind you. Trust your gut when something feels off.

Because there are predators out there who look at you like food.

And the only reason you don’t feel it is because you don’t think you are.
