We'll visit the Southwest Florida Museum of History and speak with Museum Director, Matt Johnson, to find out how cattle came to Florida and why Fort Myers became such an important trading post in the state. Then we'll visit the Babcock Ranch, a public/private ranch just outside of Fort Myers. Steve Smith, General Manager of the ranch, will show us around this 90,000 acre facility and tell us how a modern day cattle ranch operates.
