"The president was stating the facts," said Sanders. Over at the Atlantic Festival in Washington, DC, Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA), a member of the Judiciary Committee, was asked her reaction to the president's remarks. "I can't think of anything more, not, inappropriate is not descriptive enough. It's mean, it's mean and it is completely without any level of empathy," said Harris.
