“I’m talking to Raul, to the cousin, to the nephew, to the son, and to the grandson,” Salazar ordered. “”Pay attention and look what happened to Maduro.”
Salazar’s remarks came after the Department of Justice announced charges against Castro connected to the 1996 shootdown of two civilian aircraft operated by the Miami-based humanitarian group Brothers to the Rescue, an incident that killed four people, including three U.S. citizens. Prosecutors charged Castro with conspiracy to kill U.S. nationals, murder, and destruction of an aircraft.
