1:52Now PlayingFormer Vice President Mike Pence expressed reservations about the memorandum of understanding the Trump administration struck with Iran to end the months-long war, saying he doesn't trust the Iranians.
"I have concerns," he said at the National Press Club on Monday. "We don't know what's in the MOU and we're all waiting to hear the details of that. But in my judgement, you can't trust the Iranians."
Mr. Pence said he would have preferred for the U.S. to keep fighting in order to secure a more favorable outcome.
"It's my view that we would be better off allowing the armed forces of the United States to finish the job on our terms," he said. "Open the strait, take down their offensive capabilities, and give the people of Iran a real shot at freedom."
