2:32Now PlayingWhite House Correspondents' Association President Weijia Jiang told C-SPAN that the size and security arrangements will be different at Friday's rescheduled White House Correspondents' Dinner.
The original dinner in April was rescheduled after a gunman opened fire near the venue's ballroom as he charged through security.
"I've had many meetings with Secret Service," Ms. Jiang said. "I think it's wrong to say there's going be more security — it will be more visible to people who attend."
Dinner guests will now be required to register and receive a unique QR code to present with a photo ID and go through extensive security before entering the ballroom.
The WHCA president will also recognize law enforcement officials and Washington Hilton staff members who served during the last dinner.
"We will be presenting a WHCA service award — President's Award for Exceptional Service — to the Secret Service officer who was struck in his vest, along with the entire Washington Hilton staff," she said.
