2:10Now PlayingC-SPAN's "Ceasefire" — Rep. Don Bacon (R-NE) talks about his opposition to the Trump administration's push to withdraw American troops from allied NATO countries in Europe, particularly from Poland and the Baltic states.
"It's a terrible message," he said. "These countries are on the front lines. They're scared of what Russia's doing, and our troops were deterrents against Russia. So, Russia's seeing our actions, I think they perceive it as weakness."
Rep. Bacon said he would not vote for a supplemental funding bill for the Pentagon until the troop movements are reversed.
"I am playing hardball," he said. "If they want my support for supplemental, they better have a public order on how they're going to return these troops back to Poland and the Baltics."
