2:33Now PlayingSen. Jon Ossoff (D-GA), who is running for reelection, called opponent Mike Collins (R-GA) a "bigot," following a new report of his connections to white nationalism.
According to the Washington Post, a former Collins staffer posted images of a swastika and himself in Ku Klux Klan robes on his X account in June and July.
"Yet another connection between Congressman Mike Collins and white nationalism — between Congressman Mike Collins and neo-Nazi ideology," Sen. Ossoff said at a press conference in Macon, Georgia.
The Republican Senate candidate has faced a series of recent scrutiny over alleged ties with individuals linked to white nationalism, including his son-in-law who promoted white nationalist ideology and antisemitic views.
"Disgraceful and disqualifying," Sen. Ossoff said. "Yet another week, yet another scandal for the bigot Congressman Mike Collins and his collapsing Senate campaign."
