And he's absolutely he's not going to have it. So he calls his son and this, American ornithologist, George Terry, into his tent. And he says to them, look, you get out, you go on. I'm going to stay here. And the only reason Theodore Roosevelt didn't take his own life in the middle of the Amazon is that his son, you know, again, Kermit had been there for so long, he spoke the language, and the other men respected him and trusted him. I mean, he was in the river so much that his shoes were literally rotting off his feet. And he said, absolutely not. I know I can get these canoes down this river. And Roosevelt realized finally that the best way to save his son was to let his son save him. And that's what happened. That's what happened."
