YouTube Description
as posted by the channelPresident Trump on Thursday said he was considering pulling U.S. troops from Italy and Spain due to their refusal to get involved in the Iran war. The threat come on the heels of him saying he was considering also pulling some troops from Germany.
“Italy has not been of any help to us, and Spain has been horrible, absolutely horrible,” he said, adding that the U.S. provided support for Ukraine when it should have been Europe’s problem.
The president has railed against NATO allies for not helping to reopen the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran shuttered after being attacked by the U.S. and Israel. However, he has also said the U.S. does not need any help and was merely asking for help as a test of NATO support.
“We didn’t need any help with Iran,” the president said. “We had Iran right from the first day, it was over. Now it’s even more so. We’re so locked and loaded if we wanted to. But we didn’t need the help.”
President Trump has argued that other countries rely on the strait for oil more than the U.S., making its reopening their responsibility.
“And you know the amazing thing is, they use the Strait of Hormuz, we don’t use it, we don’t need it. We have a lot of oil,” he said.
