Donald Trump’s mass deportation agenda depends on thousands of ICE agents carrying out increasingly aggressive immigration enforcement operations. But what happens when the people being targeted are not “the worst of the worst”—and when the agents involved are not wearing body cameras?
In the Houston case, passengers and family members challenge the official claim that Araujo “weaponized his vehicle.” In Maine, reporting discussed in this video indicates that Johan Sebastián Durán Guerrero had work authorization and was not the person ICE agents were looking for. Both men were described as workers supporting their families, and neither had a criminal record.
