He contacted the local attorney’s office ready to cooperate and offered first-hand evidence against Blanco. Consequently, a grand jury charged Blanco with these three murders, leading to her facing possible execution. Blanco learned of Ayala's cooperation through a third party and, according to Cosby, this news devastated her. Not only was her freedom jeopardized, but she also felt betrayed by Ayala, whom she had trusted and cared for like a son.
