Charles Cosby has revealed his involvement in an audacious plot to kidnap John F. Kennedy Jr. and blow up the DA's office to help the notorious drug lord Griselda Blanco. Cosby disclosed that the kidnappers had been within arm's reach of JFK Jr. while he was out walking his dog, but the presence of a patrol car had deterred them from abduction. According to him, Blanco was desperate to free herself from the threat of the death penalty that she faced and as part of her escape plan, she considered moving to Montenegro which did not have an extradition treaty with the US. Cosby received $100,000 to assist with the kidnappings. However, the plan was abandoned when they never saw JFK Jr. again and Blanco was indicted for three first-degree murders. While Cosby was subpoenaed later to attend a deposition in Florida, he claimed he never cooperated with authorities.
