People can certainly train their brain activation patterns, but whether this results in symptom relief for ADHD is far less clear.
Although hundreds of clinics charge thousands of dollars for neurofeedback, the evidence of benefits for ADHD are weak in the most encouraging of studies and non-existent in many other meta-analyses.
So far, this seems to apply to either EEG based, or fMRI based neurofeedback systems.
