- Adderall Shortages - Dealing With Medication Shortages:
In the summer of 2022 the US started experiencing shortages of Adderall and other stimulants. In contrast to the media narrative that this was all attributable to increased demand caused by increased diagnosing of ADHD, the initial triggers for shortages were created by manufacturers who were not living up to their DEA contracts to provide sufficient controlled medications. Patient demand did complicate errors made by manufacturers and the DEA, which have continued (to a lesser extent) to this day.
