Epstein assisted in relocating Southern Air Transport’s aircraft to a new base in Columbus, Ohio.
Not long after, those same planes began servicing the retail empire of Leslie Wexner — the pro-Israel billionaire owner of Victoria’s Secret and Abercrombie & Fitch.
Just a few years later, in 1991, Wexner granted Epstein power of attorney over his vast fortune. The move came as Epstein assumed control over Wexner’s fortune shortly after he came under scrutiny following the mafia-style murder of a lawyer connected to his company, Arthur Shapiro.
Epstein’s role in inheriting and repurposing the Southern Air Transport planes was just one of many links tying him to the Iran-Contra network.
He also moved in elite circles with major arms dealers like Adnan Khashoggi and Douglas Leese — figures known or alleged to have played roles in the scandal.
A recent New York Times profile revealed another striking detail: during the 1980s, Epstein lived with John Stanley Pottinger.
What the Times did not mention is that Pottinger was simultaneously involved in CIA-backed efforts to traffic weapons to Iran.
