11:38Now PlayingOfficials say staff at Gaza's main hospital have dug a mass grave to bury scores of bodies. With refrigeration out for days, morgue staff say they have no choice. Israeli forces are said to have surrounded the Al-Shifa complex.
Israel says Hamas militants have their main command centre underneath the complex. Doctors have been left with no electricity and very little fuel. But the World Health Organization says doctors are still doing all they can to care for their patients.
For more on the situation at the Al-Shifa hospital in Gaza, we talk to Dr. Marwan Abu Sada, Head of Surgery.
And we talk to Sami Sockol, a correspondent in Jerusalem. We ask him what efforts are being made to secure the release of hostages.
