56:56Now PlayingOn Thursday, October 13th the Bingham County Republican Central, along with the Idaho State Journal, and the We the People team from Blackfoot High School hosted a candidate forum for the two candidates for Idaho Supreme Court: Robyn Brody and Curt McKenzie.
Both candidates attended the debate at the Blackfoot Performing Arts Center on October 13th at 7 p.m.
According to Bingham County Republican Central Committee Chairman, Dan Cravens, the event was motivated by a lack of voter knowledge regarding the candidates. Cravens said, “I received before the May primary calls from several voters asking me about the candidates running for Idaho Supreme Court. The Idaho Supreme Court is one of the three branches of our state government. It seemed like to the Bingham County Republican Central Committee that there is an opportunity here to better inform the voters.”
Questions for the debate were written by Bingham County GOP Central Committee, We the People, and the Idaho State Journal. Also, members of the public attending the debate had an opportunity to submit written questions to the candidates.
