5:35Now PlayingA group of former officials from the Trump administration, including former Chief of Staff General Mark Kelly, joined a call on Monday to strategize on the best way to prevent him from ever gaining power again. Unfortunately, the only part they could agree on is that he shouldn't hold power ever again. But there are certainly ways to tarnish him so much that he can't run, and Farron Cousins gives some examples on what the group can do.

More than three dozen former officials from the Trump administration joined in on a conference call this past Monday to strategize ways to prevent Donald Trump from ever gaining power. Again, here in the United States. And these are people again, who worked with him, they were from administration, including people like former chief of staff general, Mark Kelly. He was among the individuals that joined in on this phone call to figure out how to stop Donald Trump. Now here's the problem as CNN towards it. The only items the group seemed to agree upon in its first meeting, however, were that they're not sure what their way forward should be. And that they're way behind the efforts of former president, Donald Trump and his allies to set the stage for 20 22, 20 24 and beyond, by the way, it was general John Kelly, not Mark Kelly. Don't know why I said at market is John something in my head at the time told me it wasn't mark, but I couldn't remember his name. It's John Kelly, not Mark Kelly, but anyway, so they have this phone call and they say correctly, we gotta stop this guy from getting power. So what do we do? And the consensus is we don't know.
Wonderful, really, really groundbreaking stuff here. Guys, look, I, I want you to succeed. I truly, truly do. Just like most people in this country, I don't ever wanna see Donald Trump returning to power. And unfortunately, with each passing day, it seems more likely that he is going to, so let me go ahead and lend you a hand so that you know what to do moving forward. And, and I sincerely hope that somebody maybe in the off chance, one of you watches this. Maybe somebody watching this has a connection to any one of those individuals. Here's what you do. And I actually talked about this on ring of fire. A couple weeks ago, you put out ads featuring get this yourselves, say your name, your role within the Trump administration and why he's such a threat to the United States of America. And then you run that ad during prime time, all over the country.
Hell you may even still have time to get an ad produced and put together and purchased. If you can come up with the money, which I'm sure plenty of groups would give it to you to run it during the super bowl. I mean, how powerful would that be? Right? Biggest sporting event of the year, one of the most watch TV programs ever each year, that'd be a great place to run something like this, but you go out there in the ads and you can do multiple. You can do it online. You could do it on corporate media, corporate media, of course, but have more of an for the generation you're trying to reach. But you tell your stories, the horror stories of what you witnessed while you were a part of that white house, explain your firsthand account of why this man, Donald Trump is such a threat to this country and why he can never be allowed to have power. Again, there you go. That's your way forward. And of course you don't have to have all three dozen of you on the same ad. To be honest, that would get a little crowded, you know, three or four per ad, but run multiple different ads and run it on the networks. You know, people are watching that includes your regular broadcast networks, ABC, CBS, NBC throw some on Fox news run 'em as ads on YouTube, put 'em on Facebook. That is the first step forward.
And honestly, I I'm a little shocked. None of y'all came up with that because it is obviously the clearest thing. You can do the simplest thing you can do beyond that. Honestly, I don't know what you can do. What are you gonna physically restrain the guy and prevent him from filing the paperwork to run for president again? No, you can't do the at so what you have to do is tell your stories. That is the most compelling piece of evidence. You have your own firsthand knowledge of how incompetent this man really is. And if you can put these ads out to here, you can reach the people beyond that. Again, I don't know what you do. I'm with you in that boat. I don't know.
