4:27Now PlayingDuring a speech on the House floor last week, Lauren Boebert took time out of her idiotic diatribe to demand that Nancy Pelosi look up and pay closer attention to her as she was speaking. This is great performance art for Boebert, but it means absolutely nothing for anyone. Boebert wanted to get attention, and she got it, because that's the only thing that keeps her going each day. Farron Cousins discusses this.

During a speech on the house floor last week, Lauren, Boebert got angry with speaker of the house, Nancy Pelosi, because apparently, and we couldn't see Pelosi in the clip cuz she's off camera, but apparently Pelosi was not looking Bobert in the eyes as this freshman, uh, half term Congresswoman was speaking. Take a look at Lauren. Bobert getting angry at people, especially Madam speaker, as she calls her for not looking at her while she speaks here. It is
Madam speaker. I understand that this is a special order, but I think it would do you and your party, a service, if you would lift your head and pay attention to what's being said on the house floor, the United States representatives, maybe that's too much trouble to ask of you Madam speaker. But we are here talking about real issues that are impacting America. And you still continue to sit and ignore what I am saying.
Now. Maybe it's the parent in Lauren. Bobert that, that made her react that way. Right? I mean, I've had those conversations with my kids, you know, you're trying to get onto 'em. You're trying to tell 'em something important and it's Hey, Hey, Hey, look at me when I'm talking to you. I mean, come on. Let's be honest. Pretty much all parents have done that, right? And Bobert is a parent, but Nancy, Pelosi's not your child. Nancy Pelosi in fact is, is your elder. She's not just older than you, but she's also far more experienced than you. She's smarter than you. She's been in office hell of a lot longer than you. Again, you've been there for one year. Pelosi's been in there for 34. So, you know, I, I I'd err, on the side of Pelosi on this issue, I'm pretty sure that she can look down at something and still listen to you though. Bobert and look, I don't even like Nancy Pelosi. I am not a fan of hers at all. And you're sitting here or you're making me and defend her because of how horrible you are. And that's a Testament again, to just what a trash person. You are. Lauren, Nancy Pelosi doesn't owe you anything. She doesn't owe you her attention. She doesn't owe you her eyeballs. How you're lucky that you even get to speak on the house after your behavior throughout this year.
So that's why this is so ridiculous to me, Lauren, Bobert, doesn't get to command respect from people. You don't get to demand their attention. That is something that has to be earned. And that is something that Republicans really seem, have a hard time learning. You can't just go out into the world, treat everybody like crap, be a complete, you know, trash human being and then get mad when people don't respect you, you know the whole thing, treat others the way you wanna be treated. I mean, you know, you, you claim to be a Christian, right? What happened to the golden rule there? What happened to just being nice to people?
That's how you get respect. You respect them. They should respect you, but you have not shown respect to anybody in that chamber in a position of power. So no, Lauren, you do not have the right to demand that Nancy Pelosi look at you while you are speaking. If you won't respect from anybody in that chamber or hell from anybody in this country, then you better start trying to earn it. Because right now you Haven, you have been an embarrassment to the house of representatives. You're an embarrassment to the entire state of Colorado. And hopefully the voters there recognize this and understand that they have the power to make you a one term forgotten member of Congress this year. And I hope more than anything thing that they take advantage of that opportunity.
