4:25Now PlayingIn case you were wondering how horribly Donald Trump's "Truth Social" platform is going, consider the fact that Trump himself isn't even using the platform as proof that it is already a massive failure. Instead of using it for communication, Trump is still resorting to emailing reporters, issuing "official" statements, and appearing on Fox News. Farron Cousins explains why this is a very bad sign for investors.

Well folks, if you want an update on how well Donald Trump's new social media site truth, social is going consider this, this thing launched officially on February 21st. And, uh, Donald Trump has not yet sent out a single truth, which is what they call their version of tweet. Not, not once since the launch has Donald Trump used his own app. That is how pathetic it is. And let's be very clear about something it's not because he doesn't have anything to say. He's still issuing his idiotic official statements down from Mar I go, he's still sending emails to reporters with his talking points of the day, and he's still appearing on Fox news telling them what he thinks about the news of the day. So the guy has plenty to say, he just doesn't wanna say it on his own site. Right? Little boring over there at truth social, apparently a company. Well, I guess their parent company, the special acquisition group is valued at 3.5 billion. You know, they're the ones holding the bag here on truth social, and I'm sure it's not inspiring any confidence in them that the guy who is the manager, the, the CEO, I guess of it, is it even using your own product? It's like finding that the board of directors at Coca-Cola sits there at their meetings, drinking Pepsis.
You can't do that. If you want to have a successful product, you, you kind of need to be using it, right? I mean, what is the draw to truth social for conservatives it, if Trump's not even using it, could you imagine a worse product launch here in the United States than what we have seen with true social? Honestly, the only other product that's failed to spectacularly and as quickly was the, the Google glasses that they tried to come out with a couple years ago, it's gonna revolutionize everything. And Nope, that was a, a big whiff, huh? And that is exactly what truth social has become. Clearly, Donald Trump does not have any faith in his own product if he did, he'd be sending out truths, which sounds weird to say, so I'm just going to call them tweets for now. He'd be sending out the tweets. He would be doing it like he used to do on Twitter, rapid fire succession. He would be hammering these G O P lawmakers who are out there disagreeing with him publicly. He would be ranting about Fox news and MSNBC and CNN and all of the things that we got so accustomed to before his Twitter was cut off from the world. But he's not. And again, I bring this back to the investors. Real people have real money writing on this project. Donald Trump's probably gonna be fine, right? Obviously after the big
Money came in, he was able to turn a profit off of it. And then after all the other investors came in, the acquisition group was able to basically kind of recoup a lot of their money. If things go sideways. Well, I'd say that, given the faulty product launch that you had, the long waiting list of P people who couldn't even access it, the fact that shortly after it launched, the website was down for hours and hours and hours. I'd say that's about as sideways as you can get here. But again, it's going to be the small time investors that are left holding the bag, the acquisition group, they're gonna get their money. Trump's gonna get his money. The whole thing is to fail. And I don't know why anybody would think any differently from the moment this thing was announced. We've all been out here telling you this is going to be a disaster and you're going to lose money. And I don't think you need any larger piece of evidence than the singular fact that even Donald Trump isn't using his own social media site.
