Another Court Says Loser Trump Can't Hide His Taxes From Congress

The Federal Appellate Court in Washington, DC this week, once again smacked down Donald Trump's request to shield his tax returns from house members on the Ways and Means committee. Now, if that actually sounds familiar, it's because in August that same court had put together a three judge panel, including by the way, a Trump appointee to hear the case on whether or not Donald Trump could keep shielding his taxes from Congress. And the three judge panel said, Absolutely not. Go ahead and turn over that information, irs. So Donald Trump, as part of his appeals process, went back to the same court and said, Listen, I think I didn't get a fair shake. You gave me three judges, but there's more judges on this panel. So I am requesting all of the judges to decide on this case. And the court this week said, no. Like, why? Why, why would we do that?

That that's not how we operate on these, you know, massive judicial panels. We put together a panel of, you know, three typically judges, and, uh, they hear your case. They give you a fair shake. They did. They just said you didn't have a good legal argument and the other side did. So why on earth would we waste our time putting all of our judges together to come hear a case that we have already decided upon, Please leave the building. They didn't add that last part, but I'd like to think they were thinking it. Right? So what does this mean for Donald Trump? Does it mean that the house weighs in means committee or immediately gonna get his tax returns? Of course not. But what it does mean for Donald Trump is he only has one stop left. The only place to appeal this decision is to the United States Supreme Court.

If he loses there, it's over. Your tax returns are headed to that ways and means committee, and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. Now, that's a big if, right? I mean, we are talking about the six three conservative majority Supreme Court. However, we have seen them in the past on issues related to Donald Trump, uh, and him trying to hide things from investigators. Uh, they've simply just said, Nope, we're not gonna take the case. Lower court decision stands. That is probably the most likely outcome when Donald Trump appeals this to the Supreme Court. If you think he's just gonna let it be with the way it is now, the lower court ruling, you're absolutely kidding yourself. He's gonna fight it until he literally cannot fight it anymore. So it will take the Supreme Court saying either, yes, we'll hear it, No we won't. And then if they do hear it, we gotta wait for that to happen. But I don't think they'll hear it. I, I think the easiest way out for them is to simply say, No, we're not taking up the case. The lower court decision stance. And the problem Trump

Has had ever since the beginning of this, is that they've only come, uh, to the fight with one argument against releasing his tax returns. And that argument has consistently been the ways and means Committee has no legislative read reason for requesting these, therefore, they can't have 'em. And every time the Ways and Means committee is like, actually we, we do, we're working on legislation about how presidents are audited by the irs and we need his returns to find out what's happening with him so we can determine if we need to change the way things are. And so far, all the courts that have looked at this have said, Well, that is a valid legislative reason. We may not like it. You Trump may not like it, but you said they didn't have a reason and they're giving you a reason. So we have no reason to not side against you. That's what's happened so far, and I'm willing to bet the Supreme Court not wanting to wade into this argument is gonna tell Donald Trump when he appeals it to them. Thanks, but no thanks.
