4:39Now PlayingThe Trump family is obviously angry about the Special Prosecutor that is taking over the cases from the DOJ, and they've lashed out against the FAMILY of the prosecutor. Trump's lackluster son Eric is the latest to jump on board the hate train, and he's trying to smear the special prosecutor's wife on social media by claiming that she's somehow corrupted and therefore the investigation can't be trusted. Farron Cousins explains why this is such a dumb excuse.

The Trump family spent the past week attacking special prosecutor Jack Smith, who of course is now in charge of two separate investigations into Trump. The first of course, being the document case, and the DOJ Merrick Garland also said, you know what, while you're at it, why don't you go ahead and take the, uh, fake elector scheme and all the January 6th stuff too. So Trump freaked out, understands that Merrick Garland as a weak individual probably would not have prosecuted him. But now, now that there's a special prosecutor, your chances of not being indicted went down. So he and his kids spent the week attacking the special prosecutor, but more importantly, they also went after his wife and Eric Trump became the latest Trump family member to attack special prosecutor Jack Smith's wife as somehow being partisan because she helped produce a documentary on Michelle Obama. This is what Eric Trump said on Twitter, the wife of the Special Counsel Biden chose to investigate real Donald Trump. His likely opponent in 2024 reportedly produced the Michelle Obama documentary. Yes, America, you are reading this correctly.
Okay, so we're, we're reading it correctly. Wonderful. I I don't see how that's a problem. His wife is a movie producer. Cool. That actually sounds pretty fun. How, how does that impact his investigations? How does that change the fact that this guy has spent time working for the Hague prosecuting war criminals across the planet? Right? They say, Nope, you can't prosecute work war criminals because your wife worked on a documentary about Michelle Obama. That's, that's not a thing, that's not even a conflict of interest. But if you wanna talk about spouses that do create conflicts of interest, Eric, you dimwitted buffoon. I, I would like to have a conversation with you about Jenny Thomas, right? The, the wife of the Supreme Court Justice who tried to get the 2020 election overturned for your dad. And then her husband, Clarence, has ruled on several cases related to the 2020 election in January 6th.
Then all that where he had a very clear conflict of interest, but didn't recuse himself. So if you wanna talk about spouses that have likely corrupted their partner, I think we need to start on that scotus, right? But of course, you don't understand those things, Eric. You're not a smart individual. I think I, I, I think you are genuinely very, very stupid, but you're vicious. I'll give you that just like the rest of the Trump family. And you think that going after this man's wife is somehow a winning strategy? Or are you kind of hoping to do what other conservatives out there have done
Attacks somebody so much that eventually the right person hears it and they go out and commit an atrocity? Is that what you're hoping for? Eric wouldn't surprise me personally if that's what you were hoping to happen, but I gotta say, because I say this every time and the Trump family just seems like they can't learn it. Never a smart idea to insult and attack the person investigating you. That's what Trump and his kids have done, you know, the past two years, basically with every group investigating him. And I can say with certainty that it hasn't worked out very well for them in a single case. Not in Georgia, not when they were attacking me Garland. Not when they were attacking Alvin Brag, not when they were attacking, uh, Letitia James, not when they were attacking the January 6th committee. It never works for them. Don't off the people that are trying to find things that could put you in jail, because all you're gonna do is fuel their fire. It's not about vengeance for them, but y'all are trying to make it about vengeance for them, which isn't gonna end well for you. I don't know how much dumber you can get, but sometimes, as I always say, the best thing to say is nothing at all.
