Dr. Oz's Former Producers Blast Him As He Tries To Revive TV Career

After failing to win a seat in the US Senate, Dr. Mehmet Oz has decided that he wants to get back on television. And he doesn't just want a gig with Fox News or Newsmax, he wants his own medical show again. But his former producers aren't exactly lining up to come back to him, and they've publicly blasted him for essentially destroying his brand by running (and failing to win) the Senate seat. You know when Dr. Oz lost his Senate race, I was certain that I was never going to have to mention his name again. I thought for sure the days of sitting here and talking about Dr. Oz were over. Unfortunately, they are not. But at least getting to talk about him now, it's actually kind of a funny story cuz it turns out, according to multiple sources who spoke with Radar online, Dr. Ma Oz desperately wants to get back on tv. And even though they say that he impressed the folks at Fox News, he impressed the folks at newsmax. Dr. Oz doesn't wanna be on a political talk show. He doesn't wanna be a Fox News contributor. He doesn't wanna have to sit there on the five or maybe be a fillin on that Fox and Fringe couch. Ew, gross. Right? Dr. Os wants to go back to what he had been doing for a couple decades, hosting a medical show on real television.

Not a fringe network, but on actual normal daytime television. He's just got one problem. None of his former producers will even give him the time of day because as radar online reports, they view that he has now become too toxic to even touch. Here's what a couple of the sources told Radar online. No one in the mainstream will touch him. You can't alienate half of your audience with a political stance and expect to bring in an audience on your return to television. Another source says he's beating the bushes to revive his health oriented talk show and groveling to everyone he knows to give him a break, but he's not making much progress. Dr. Oz is a social creature who likes to hear himself talk and it's beginning to dawn on him that he's just now wanted in Hollywood circles.

You were a celebrity, a household name even for people who didn't watch you. But then you went into politics. And politics is an ugly place cuz no matter where you stand on politics, you're going to off half the people. That's kind of how it works. Trust me, I know I've been doing it almost 20 years now. You're gonna off everybody eventually, and if you want to go mainstream, you kind of can't do that. Now, if you had never wanted to return to television, if you thought, okay, well my Senate bid failed, I've got millions and millions of dollars,

What do I care? I'll just retire and have fun. You could have done that and eventually you could have weezled your way back into those Hollywood circles that you want back into. But you gotta give it time. You gotta give it time. You gotta let people be able to forget. But you're not doing that. You want to jump headfirst right back into it after off half the country. And of course, exposing yourself as a carpet bagger from New Jersey who just wants power. That's not gonna go away anytime soon. It may not go away ever. That's why your former producers don't want to talk to you. That's why these other insiders close to you are talking to the press and saying, listen, this guy's begging everybody to let him back on tv. So be careful it could happen, but even if it does, you've off a lot of people. You've alienated a lot of people and you've shown how toxic your politics can be. But most importantly, you showed a lot of people who you truly are and that isn't a thing that you'll be able to overcome probably forever.
