One of the things we have learned in many, many years of doing this is that you always gotta follow the money, right? When a politician votes a certain way, you follow the money. You look at their campaign donations and usually it becomes crystal clear as to why they're doing things. So of course, with the judge overseeing Donald Trump's prosecution, judge Merchant, it's only right that we would look at his political donations, which Republicans did, and they think they've come up with the gotcha moment. Because as it turns out, folks, this judge, judge Merchant actually did give money to President Biden's campaign along with giving money to a group called Stop Republicans and a group called Progressive Turnout Project. So he's a liberal benefactor, he's a progressive donor, and the amount of money that he gave the Biden campaign is absolutely going to shock you. Not because it's so big, but because it might be the tiniest donation I've ever seen from a probably wealthy individual because Judge Merchant in 2020 gave a staggering $15 to President Biden's campaign $15.

Conservatives freaking out cuz he gave money to a group called Stop Republicans. He gave them $10, 10 bucks, that's it. He gave $10 to the uh, uh, progressive turnout project. Here's your 10, here's your 10. I had just broken a 20, so that's why you each got 10. Now, sure, these campaign donations probably don't look super great as he prosecutes the former Republican president of the United States. But do they show that this guy is a big time heavy hitter like on par with like George Soros? No. Hell, I have given more money to progressive politicians than this. Uh, and that's actually only because I think I paid like 40, 50 bucks to buy a a t-shirt of the 2016 Bernie campaign. Like that's the money I gave. I also at one point, I think gave $20 to to um, Jeff Merkley's campaign and I think I donated $10 to Jan Yer campaign. So those are the only political donations I've ever made. So, like I am right on par with the judge.

Like, okay, yeah, I'm gonna give you a couple bucks here, whatever. I don't care. But Republicans are celebrating this acting as if they've found like, you know, the end all be all to show that this judge is a horrible partisan hack because he is a massive liberal donor to President Biden. This is nothing. This is stupid. If you want to make a big deal over $15, then I think you've already lost the argument.
