Republicans Start To Panic As Their Trump Monster Becomes Uncontrollable

Republicans were quick to rush to Trump's defense following his indictments, but now that the dust has settled, they are starting to panic that he is once again dominating the news cycle like he did in 2016. This creates a problem for them as it sucks up all the oxygen from other candidates, and makes Trump the central focus of the entire Republican Party - and that's not good for them. According to a new report, Republicans are starting to finally freak out after, of course, spending the last week and a half defending Donald Trump after the indictments. They're now a little worried that, uh, he's kind of sucking up all of the oxygen with the media. And of course that's very bad for them because most people in this country do not like Donald Trump. A majority of them do believe that he deserved to be indicted, and that's not gonna play well for the Republicans in 2024. Now, this new report from Politico spoke to multiple different, uh, Republicans. You got strategists, consultants, former campaign managers, and they all said the same thing. And it is, we are kind of screwed because this is just like 2016. The media wants to only focus on Donald Trump, and, and you've got these other folks out there. You've got your Nicki Haley's, you've got your Mike Pompeo, and for for the life of 'em, no matter what they say and do, they just can't get any attention, which means voters don't know about them, which pretty much guarantees Trump will win the Republican primary then go on to lose the general election.

So let me read a couple of things here. Uh, Politico reported quote, in the span of a week, Nikki Haley, former United Nations ambassador campaigning at the US Mexico border, complained that no one is talking about immigration because of the focus on Trump's political drama. Former Secretary of State, Mike Pompeo's trip to Ukraine was reduced to a blip on the media landscape while Ron DeSantis avoided the spectacle and instead revived his war with Disney. You see, actually the, let me just correct you on that. He didn't revive his war with Disney. It was outed that he basically got, uh, railroaded by a mouse character, and so he's trying to save face. Um, but it continues. Uh, Terry Sullivan who oversaw Marco Rubio's presidential bid, and I laugh at that because that was like the most pathetic presidential bid ever. So even talking to Terry Sullivan, I'm really sorry, no offense, but like you're clearly not an expert on anything, but here's what Terry, Terry Sullivan had to say.

This is deja vu all over again. Trump dominates media coverage making it impossible for his competitors to get any coverage or retraction. Yeah, I mean, Marco Rubio in 2016 though, the last thing he needed was the media looking at him because the guy has a frigging moron. So that, that should have been used to your advantage in 2016. The fact that it wasn't, that's kind of your, your failure, another campaign consultant express their, uh, express, their dismay telling Politico quote, it feels like effing 2016. Is there anything that can suck up as much political oxygen in the American political landscape as Trump? I don't think so. Then you've got G o p campaign advisor, David Cackle, who says quote,

What's frustrating to me is we didn't learn a thing from 2015 and 2016 when it comes to just giving him absolute roadblock, media coverage. I get it. It's a big story, but this was getting covered like the opening of the war in Iraq or the OJ Chase. You couldn't escape it. I don't know that there's a strategy anybody could employ, may maybe try shooting somebody on fifth Avenue, you know, to paraphrase Donald Trump there. Listen guys, y'all did this as Republicans. You're responsible for this Frankenstein's monster that you've created and now that it's gone out there and is terrorizing the city because it doesn't know who or what it is, now you're like, oh my God, what have we done? But you're not saying, what have we done? You're saying, what has the media done? See, that's the problem I have with stories like these.

There's no introspection from these Republicans. Your entire party, whether you did it or not, is irrelevant because you're still members of a party that have continued to stand by this man through the worst things that he has done. And there are plenty and there are more coming down the pipeline. You could have disowned him after January 6th. Y'all were given the golden effing opportunity to say goodbye forever when the man tried to undo an election and then a capitol riot occurs.
