Should We Just Let Trump Win To Punish Stupid Voters?

The fact that millions of people still support Donald Trump after his felony convictions, and impeachments, and his horrific first term in office says a lot about how stupid the American public can be. One viewer wants to know if we should just let Trump win this election to give these people exactly what they deserve and see how they like it. Farron Cousins explains why that probably isn't a good idea.

Obviously even with Donald Trump's, you know, 34 felony convictions, even with his two impeachments. And, uh, even though he has never won the popular vote in a single race that he's ever ran, there are still millions of people who are going to vote for him this year. Millions of people who support him. And that leads me to a very interesting viewer question. This question comes from Roger Wilco, 8 1 3 5. Roger Wilco asks, if our country is so dumb that half the population supports Donald Trump, then I sometimes want to vote amend. So the USA is penalized for its idiocy. Anyone else grappling with this dark side? Um, I'll be honest. Uh, there were many years in my life, a little bit younger, right? Where I did think things like that. I thought, you know what? Y'all wanna vote for these people that are gonna destroy the country?

This was long before Trump came into the picture. Do it. Go ahead. We should just let them all win. So everybody sees how horrible the country would become. You know what the problem with that idea is? People still don't get it. Okay? It's not like Donald Trump is new. Donald Trump was the president of the United States for four years. We've seen how horrible he can be when he is in office. And guess what? The people still didn't learn. We were penalized. All right? Absolutely. But it didn't wake them up to realize, wait a minute, maybe we shouldn't put the village idiot in the White House. Millions of people, more people returned in 2020 to vote for 'em than they did in 2016. So they don't feel like they were penalized. I mean, they were, trust me, it was horrible. We lost jobs. We were in a recession.

All these horrible things. The covid response was a complete and total disaster, and they still didn't learn. Tens of millions of them showed up to vote for Donald Trump in the year. 2020. Tens of millions of them are going to vote for him this year in spite of all of that. So here's what you do, rather than saying, yes, voters are dumb and they get what they deserve. I agree with you on that. I think Americans individually are very smart, but as soon as you put us in groups, we become very dumb. Even if you have a group of very smart people, you put 'em in a group, they suddenly become a lot dumber than they would be individually. We make bad collective decisions. Each one of us capable of making good decisions on our own. Suddenly that group think kicks in. And man, we're a bunch of morons. But what we need to do in order to snap some of these people out of it and wake them up, is not necessarily always talk about Trump's convictions. You know, not talk about his other pending legal problems, or his horrible behavior, or his language, or his posts on true social. Talk about his record. Because once you start talking about that, people quickly realize there's nothing to talk about. The man was

President for four years. Yeah, he got three justices on the Supreme Court. 25% of all federal judicial appointees are from Donald Trump outside. He gave tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires outside of that. What'd he do? He built a couple portions of a wall that are already crumbling to dust. He promised us he'd bring jobs back. All those companies, he said, we're bringing the jobs here. None of them, none of them actually happened. He said he'd get rid of the southern shut down the southern border. No, didn't do it. And he locked some kids in cages. Horrible things that of course were carried over and, and amplified from the Obama administration. Um, other than that, what you ask these people who still support Donald Trump, how did your life become better during those four years he was president? What was better about your life during those four years than it was before he took office? Make them start thinking individually, and then maybe you wake some people up and then maybe we don't deserve to have Donald Trump again after that.
