Republican House Speaker Mike Johnson spoke at last week's Faith and Freedom Coalition event where he said the quiet part out loud. Actually, one of the most shocking statements we have seen from a sitting politician ever. Here is what Mike Johnson told that crowd. Y'all, impeachment's not even the big concern. They will turn every committee of Congress into an investigative body and they'll go after the president's family, the cabinet, his donors and friends. Half of you in this room will be targeted. I run the protection program. I'll take care of you.
This statement is criminal. It's criminally stupid. first and foremost because these things are recorded. There's recording devices, whatever. Saying this when you know people could record this uh is just the dumbest thing possible.
But making this shocking admission is literally an admission that hey all you criminals in the room, you got to vote for Republicans or else you're going to go to jail because let's face it, you guys are breaking the [ __ ] law every possible way. Right? That's what this means. That is 100% what this statement means. I am the thing keeping you out of jail.
If I were a Democrat in power, I am a Democrat, but if I were a Democrat with any kind of subpoena power, what I would do is I would get a list of attendees
and have the name of every single person at that Faith and Freedom Coalition conference this past Friday. And I would keep that list in my desk drawer, top desk drawer. And then in January, after we all get sworn in, right, and we're the new Congress, we're the majority, I would go to my little list and I would subpoena every single person that was in attendance of that conference. And the very first one I would subpoena, by the way, would be former House Speaker Mike Johnson. I would have him sit down in front of his own colleagues under oath and be forced to testify. Hey, bud. What did you mean by this? What What is What is What is this? Who are the criminals in that room that you were protecting? Oh, and by the way, how are you protecting them? Because did you know, um, depending on the crime these people have committed, not reporting a federal crime is itself a federal crime. So, if you knew that these people had committed crimes or perhaps in dabbled in some unsavory activities and didn't report it, you yourself could actually be looking at some fairly serious criminal charges because there were a couple hundred people in the room.
So, what do you know, Mike Johnson? And don't even pretend that the Democrats are going to do that. I just meant the Democrats were going to do it to make their lives hell, you know, to to give them a hard time because that's what Trump is doing to people. No, that's that's not what you meant because you wouldn't have said you run the protection racket if those people didn't actually need protecting. Because getting a congressional subpoena, having to go to DC, testify is annoying. But if you've done something wrong, if you've not done something wrong, you don't actually need protection, right? You just have to deal with the annoyance and then you go home and you're like, "Wow, what a what a crappy day." No, no, you seem to know some stuff, Mike Johnson, and I think I think you've got some questions that need to be answered. Uh, very important super chat here, perhaps the most important one ever. Mike Jay says, "Spreme Court just struck down Trump's bid to limit birthright citizenship."
