4:40Now PlayingDo you want to know more about Germany after WW1? In 1923 the Occupation of the Ruhr took place. French and Belgian troops invaded and occupied a part of Germany. This had to do with the terms set at the Treaty of Versailles (1919) that was signed after World War One was over. The German Empire made way for the democratic Weimar Republic. With this republic was far from stable. At some point the Weimar government printed more money which led to the German hyperinflation of 1923. It was then when the French and Belgians moved in.
