According to Schumer, the result could be millions of eligible American voters being wrongly removed from voter rolls, potentially without even being notified — a move he says puts U.S. democracy at risk. As tensions escalate in the Senate, Democrats are signaling a prolonged fight, even if it means days or nights of legislative gridlock, to block the bill from becoming law.
