Pacoima, California, has coated a local park and some surrounding streets with something called Street Bond, a treatment that reflects solar heat. GAF, a roofing and waterproofing manufacturer, chose this neighborhood to test out this product. It will measure the temperature of the pavement for a year to see if it does what it’s supposed to do.
