This summer, Jubilee Project hosted a fellowship program inviting 13 filmmakers to live together and produce a short film in 10 days. They produced three short films that inspire change. This is Catching Clouds. Learn more about the fellowship here: www.jubileeproject.org/fellowship
Although obstacles may present themselves throughout our lives, it is how we decide to continue on that makes a difference. Catching Clouds is a story about people transforming the way they see themselves by enduring personal setbacks.
We produced this short film in order to raise awareness for Hepatitis B, and to encourage viewers to live out their lives to the fullest. Hepatitis B is the most common infection of the liver, which can lead to premature death from cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver failure. One in ten Asian Americans & Pacific Islanders are lifelong carriers of Hepatitis B. Sadly, most carriers do not know they are infected because there are no immediate symptoms even if your liver blood test comes out normal. The good news is that we can treat and prevent this disease if more people are aware of it.
