Fielders said, “I don’t want to talk to him anymore; he murdered my girl.” The judge responded, “When I tell you to stop talking, you stop.”

Ohio man Quinton Nixon, 31, was arrested in August 2022 following a standoff with Akron police for allegedly shooting and killing 34-year-old mother Toni Westover. Westover was found dead inside a Kenmore home in July 2022. Police searched for Nixon after receiving several tips about his whereabouts and eventually found him hiding inside a University Park attic. Nixon was charged with murder and will represent himself during the trial. He faces life in prison.
