Fear of looking racist is killing British people - Valdo Calocane is not the only example

British people are being killed because other people are afraid of being called racist.

Valdo Calocane should have been sectioned (well he should've been in another country, but since he's here he should've been sectioned). But he was freed following an earlier incident because mental health workers were worried that detaining him would be racist.

Also, he avoided being injected with long-lasting anti-psychotic medication because he did not like needles, and NHS staff having “felt a pressure to avoid restrictive practice because of his ethnicity”.

This is where the public sector drive for equity has led us - they want each demographic to have equal outcomes. So they try and force these outcomes by treating people differently. In this case, it seems that they felt pressure not to section a black man because black men are overrepresented in mental health statistics.

But if diversity is a strength, then diversity exists. And couldn't part of diversity mean that a certain demographic is over-represented in mental health statistics? Diversity doesn't mean that we're all exactly the same, does it?
