An incident in New York encapsulated the relationship between leftism and Islamism too perfectly. Liberal comedian Walter Masterson was protesting, giving a speech about how New York is inclusive to Islamists, when one of the Islamists he wants to include used him as a launchpad to throw a homemade bomb.
This near-death experience didn't shake his belief in the virtues of inclusion. The only fault he seemed to find with the incident was that it gave ammo to people who don't want to be so inclusive.
Leftism is a hell of a drug.
