19:32Now PlayingThis conversation was recorded on December 14, 2022 in the height of Ye's, the artist formerly known as Kanye West, antisemitic rant saying on social media that he was "going death con 3 ON JEWISH PEOPLE." During that same time, NBA star Kyrie Irving came under fire for tweeting the link to a documentary on Amazon called "Hebrews to Negroes: Wake Up Black America!".
The documentary is considered antisemitic for its claims that Jews control the media and conspiracy theories denying that millions of Jews died during the Holocaust. The film's description on Amazon says it "uncovers the true identity of the Children of Israel." Irving has since apologized for his tweet.
Who can claim Jewish heritage? And what is the state of Black and Jewish relations? Mitchell Plitnick & Dr. Chanda Prescod-Weinsten, and Rabbi Sandra Lawson provide analysis.
