25:11Now PlayingGovernor Mark Dayton official signed into law the omnibus education bill, HF 2949, sponsored by Sen. Gen Olson, R-Minnetrista. Enacted into law are a variety of education policy changes, including allowing students in grade 10 to take career and technical courses at the Univerity of Minnesota, Minnesota State Colleges and University Sytem (MnSCU) and other Minnesota post-secondary insitutions. Also, teachers who are on military leave will receive their full salary under the new law.
Following the bill signing, Governor Mark Dayton answered questions about the end-of-session negotiations with GOP leaders.
