35:34Now Playing"Health care is the fastest growing industry in Minnesota and is outpacing the national average. With this growth, we are facing a problem. We are not keeping pace with industry workforce needs. This is especially true in rural and under-served communities," said Senator Greg Clausen, DFL-Apple Valley, as he presented his bill to the Senate Health, Human Services and Housing Committee Wednesday, January 28.
The bill, S.F. 3, would provide an additional three million dollars annually over the next four years for educational loan forgiveness to roughly 200 social workers, doctors, dentists, and other medical professionals who agree to practice in areas where there is a critical shortage.
