Educators appeared before the committee, attesting to the myriad of benefits to children who receive high-quality early educational opportunities. Governor Mark Dayton has set early childhood education as a top priority for the 2016 legislative session.
The committee did not take action on the measure and will consider its inclusion in an omnibus funding bill.
