Capitol Report: Right to Repair; Net Neutrality

The Senate Committee on Commerce and Consumer Protection recently met for an informational hearing on a bill that would make it easier for consumers and businesses to repair and reuse electronic devices like smartphones. The bill’s author, Senator David Osmek, R-Mound, joins Capitol Report moderator Shannon Loehrke to describe the benefits to the consumer, the environment and to local businesses of the proposed legislation.

This week, two key Senate committees held a joint meeting to provide continued oversight of the Office of Health Facility Complaints over its backlog of elder abuse and neglect complaints.
