Senator Paul Anderson, R-Plymouth, is Vice Chair of the Jobs Committee, and takes an optimistic view of the state’s economy. In addition, he discusses legislation he will sponsor this session that would modify the current child sexual abuse prevention curriculum in public schools to include sexual exploitation prevention due to the prevalence of sex trafficking in Minnesota.
Senator Matt Little, DFL-Lakeville, as a member of the Senate Jobs Committee and as a former city council member and former mayor of Lakeville, provides his assessment of the Minnesota economy as well as his view on Amazon’s decision to bypass the Twin Cities as the location for its planned second corporate headquarters.
Nineteen states have enacted laws to crack down on people who pass off their pets as service animals. Senator David Osmek, R-Mound, is considering proposing new state statutes that would clarify the differences between service animals, protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act, and emotional support animals.
