26:42Now PlayingA bill that would study the link between pornography and sex trafficking gained the approval of the Senate Judiciary and Public Safety Committee Tuesday, March 6. Senator Michelle Benson, R-Ham Lake, said the measure would authorize the collection of data to determine the link between pornography and sex trafficking.
Terry Forliti, Executive Director of Breaking Free, an organization that fights sex trafficking, testified that there's a direct link between porn and sex trafficking and that pornography works as a training manual for young girls.
Lori Paul, a member of Breaking Free, offered compelling testimony on her personal experiences, saying, "I'm a broken-hearted mother. I'm a broken-hearted wife. I'm a broken-hearted young girl who was just looking to be loved.
