At the Capitol Tuesday, March 6, the Governor proposed a measure that would reduce nitrate levels in groundwater in vulnerable areas. Governor Dayton made it clear that the suggested changes are the result of statewide listening sessions with farmers, landowners, environmentalists and citizens, and that further opportunities for the public to weigh in will occur next summer. Following the announcement, the Governor took questions from reporters.
