9:24Now PlayingKey Senate Republican members outlined their proposal to revamp the state's information technology agency, known as MN.IT. According to Senator Julie Rose, R-Vernon Center and chair of the Senate Finance Committee, the restructuring follows the problematic rollout of the Minnesota Licensing and Registration System, known as MNLARS. The proposal would abolish MN.IT and roll its functions into the Department of Administration. State agencies would be allowed to consider competitive outside bids for software development needs.
