Question: I have taken one from a private bank 3 months earlier. The loan amount is 17 Lakh rupees with interest at 13.5% pa. Is it going to come down because of demonetization?
Answer: Since banks have more liquidity, interest rates are surely to come down. The demonetization has a defamatory effect on economy. Everybody opts for floating interest rates regime, so you will get benefit by default, whenever, banks lower the interest rates. Currently, interest rates in the market stands at 9.35- 9.40%.
