Question: I recently invested in a 2BHK in Chandigarh housing board. I have made a payment of 70 lakhs. I am yet to pay the second installment. Very few takers in the beginning. Whether the demonetisation will have any impact on the project?
Answer: Housing board projects do not involve cash components and are usually oversubscribed and responds late to market conditions. These projects will continue with the set price trends, that they have entered initially. Also with the roll out of the RERA in coming months, one should not worry about housing board projects, but there will be few casualties in the sector.
